The Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary

Add Sat, Sep 30

The Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary is an international association of Catholics who are committed to reciting the Holy Rosary on a weekly basis for the purpose of giving praise and honor to the Blessed Virgin Mary and obtaining, through her intercession, spiritual benefits for all its members. Every member strives to pray the traditional fifteen decades of the Rosary each week, adding to their own intentions the intentions of the living and deceased members of the Confraternity worldwide. Dominican Rosary Pilgrimage

On Sat, Sep 30, the Order of Preachers (Dominican Friars) will host a full-day Rosary Pilgrimage at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. This national event, which is expected to draw thousands of people, will include conferences preached by the friars, several hours of Eucharistic Adoration and Confessions, the Recitation of the Holy Rosary and the Celebration of Holy Mass.

To prepare for the pilgrimage, a 9-month novena will take place nationwide. All are invited, whether they plan to attend the pilgrimage or not, to take part in the novena by praying the Novena Prayer on the 30th of each month, from Jan-Sep (except in February, when it will occur on the 28th).

Rosary Pilgrimage Novena Prayer

God our Father, we thank you for the gift of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we are adopted as your beloved sons and daughters.

At Pentecost you poured out the Holy Spirit upon Our Lady and the Apostles while they were at prayer.

Pour out that same Holy Spirit upon us as we meditate upon the mysteries of Christ contained in the Most Holy Rosary.

Enlighten our faith, strengthen our hope, and set us ablaze with love for you and our neighbor.

Graciously grant us St. Dominic’s own zeal for the salvation of souls.

Bless the Dominican Rosary Pilgrimage.

May it lead many souls to Jesus through Mary, so that we may know you and your saving power now and for all eternity.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us! St. Dominic, pray for us!
