Visit one of North America’s oldest shrines: The National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes. Situated on top of Saint Mary’s Hill, this beautiful place of pilgrimage provides a peaceful setting for prayer and reflection. While at the shrine, visit the Lourdes Grotto, the outdoor Stations of the Cross, the Rosary Walk and the beautiful “Glass Chapel” offering panoramic views of the valley.
Visit the National Shrine of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton and learn about the fascinating life of America’s first-born saint. See the two historic homes where she lived and worked. Tour the newly renovated Seton Shrine Museum and pray in the magnificent basilica where her precious relics are venerated by nearly 60,000 visitors each year.
We will stop for dinner at the Mountain Gate Family Restaurant in Thurmont, Maryland, where visitors can enjoy one of the many delicious entrees from their extensive menu or a variety of country-style dishes from their Signature All-You-Can-Eat Buffet. (Dinner not included in the cost of the trip).
